I knew the book was what I wanted as I had done my research. My only reason for entering an opinion here is that perhaps I am not the only one who is not COMPLETELY versed in the procedures of Amazon. I clicked on the “one click” buying method thinking that it eliminated the unnecessary rigamarole you go through. Once I found the shipping cost was nearly as much as the product I wanted to abort the purchase but was unable to due to that procedure. Shipping costs are difficult to accurately ascertain as many companies are not doing business worldwide which makes there website either inaccurate or lacking in shipping information. Those that do ship internationally, have no qualms about over charging, it has become “standard practice” for companies to realize profit from shipping fees. I did not grow up in that world, it is a criteria which is wrong! In addition, mail and shipping have become very big business, UPS, FedEx, Emory, DHL, and every countries’ postal service has adopted the same rules they use offering very little in choice. I went to a major bookstore looking for information on wood fired ovens and got nothing……the book I bought at Amazon was just what I needed. Maybe next year we will have a wood fired oven in our back yard. Service was good and promt.

Have only recently received the book and completed a first reading. The idea is great, and it appears to be relative easy to build. Liked the idea and book layout so much, that I ordered a second book to gift to a friend who is also comtemplating building an oven.

I ordered this book for my husband because for years he’s wanted to make a simple outdoor baking oven. This book looks like it is just what he’s been looking for, with lots of simple and basic ideas for how to build a mud oven. I can’t wait for him to build it so we can start baking some bread and roasting up a chicken in it.
