This GPS has one of the biggest viewing screen of all the portables. In addition, so far it has been user friendly.

the system has locked up a few times on me, but after an update seems to be working fine. nice screen, kind of big but hey, bigger screen bigger unit. maps seem to be a little old 07 or 06 since it could not find a few airports around my area. I have a garmin nuvi 350 for a couple years and still is superior than this unit i think in reliability and performance.

I had this unit 10 months or more and had the software updated to 2.4.0 if you dont have this it may do wierd things. The bluetooth is not very good when i used it the other person could hardly hear me so i gave it up. Other wise it works very well and I do lots of traveling delivering new cars on the east coast to all sort of dealers and it always come through to the tee.I dont think ”Tele Maps” are 100% up to date with alll the road changes that occur all the time, feel they are 2 to 3 years behind updated roads, but all gps are that way. My buddy has a new garman and the Cobra outpreformed his when we went together one time and tested them in NY City. The camera alert is great on the Cobra 5000 lets you know your being watched BEWARE tickets are expensive and all they need is your plate #. Hope this helped u on deciding Oh by the way the screen at night time according to the time it changes to a very colorful screen and is excellent to follow. Will need set up in the options..

I don’t know where to start… I purchased this unit for the large screen and red light camera ad a couple other features. The screen is large but the area that the map is in does not cover the whole screen so you end up with less map area than most 3.5inch gps’s. That was my initial complaint… then i started using it, it is slow to update route if you miss a turn(or thinks you did) it will randomly think you exited the highway and reroute you. it freezes all the time it takes forever to initially get a gps signal and is very sensitive and looses signal frequently. i can not possible go into all the issues it has. I have now used several tom toms and a couple garmins so i know it is sub-par in comparison. Do not buy this unit you will regret it. don’t take my word for it just search the web and see the hundreds of posts from people like me that got sc*wed!
