For $31, this is a big mistake. I’m returning mine ASAP. My reason? It leaves the top and bottom of the iPad unprotected. It uses two elastic straps to secure it, which partially obscure the iPad screen. While I’d still like having a genuine leather case, this is not the one. I’m surprised Amazon would sell something like this. Guess they, like many, did not anticipate the level of success the iPad has enjoyed, and decided to sell ANYTHING rather than wait for quality products to arrive.

I found that this case would be ok except that when we opened up the package there was an awefull plastic smell from the faux leather that still lingers. Also the stand feature is not very secure and often slips.

Works great! I really like the various angles for viewing and the strap works great over a headrest.

I did as much searching for a case as is possible considering how little there was (and apparently still is) out there when I bought this case about 3 weeks ago. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty darn good. I’ve had a lot of people approach me to ask about it because it’s so neat. Someone mentioned they thought it was a problem that it didn’t protect the sides of the iPad. My iPad lives in a bag with tons of crap and my sides are still perfect. Not sure how you can protect the sides better without limiting access to things you need access to. My biggest gripe is that the iPad doesn’t always stay put when resting on the little raised ledges that keep it on an angle and I worry that as the case gets worn that those raised ledges will be less effective in keeping the case stable. I take a bus every day and I put the iPad on the seat next to me so I can watch video hands free. It occasionally slips. I also would love it if there was one lower angle (like the Apple case) for easier typing. I understand why there isn’t a lower angle on this case, but it would be nice to have it. Someone also mentioned that after use the edges or corners are wearing down, and that’s true but it’s very minor. I’m sure this case will last for long enough. I love the snap, it’s very easy. The iPad fits snug and the entire screen is visible. I’m sure no cases have this, but I do wish there was a little pocket to fit a small piece of soft fabric to wipe the finger prints off. I bought a different case for my dad for father’s day but I haven’t opened the box. I’m interested in seeing which one is better. But I’m extremely happy with this purchase.
I’m editing this review (and giving it a hire rating) because today I figured out that I can hang the case from the handle on a bus seat so that I can watch video without holding the iPad or straining my neck. I posted pictures if you care to see.

This case has a lot of great uses and looks professional.
I love the elastic strap which can be used to attach the ipad to a car headrest. Kids love being able to watch movies now on a bigger screen then on my ipod touch.
Side protection isn’t a whole lot so I’m not expecting it protect from a fall. Could improve on this but may add too much bulk to it.
Ports are easily accessible.
Does seem like you are always opening the ipad upside down but I think that is just me being left handed.
I did by a decal for the back of the ipad because I didn’t have much faith in the fuzzy lining from keeping the back scratch proof.
I would like them to flip the button to the other side but it may have been designed this way to keep the pressure off the front of the ipad.
Only other thing I’d like in a case is to have speakers included but I believe there is a case in the works with that. Just makes it easier to listen to in the car for the kids.
