Just purchased this item thru Andreas Inc.
The item shiped quickly thru Acekaraoke, later found out
it based in California, import & distribution & retails.
The volume of the mic has to turn to maximum to hear and it that
level, the voice is distorted.
Optical audio is not working (after 30 min of trouble shoothing)
Called Andreas and left messages, nobody there to call me back.
Called again on Monday and Andreas asked to call AceKaraoke to explain problems and if/and they will issue RMA. Person to talk to named Grace.
Called Ace and asked for Grace, the person who answered told me call back in 1 hour. 1and 30 min later, someone alse in Ace said Grace is not yet in, call back in an hour.
Called Andreas back and he said unless Acekaraoke allows RMA, he could do nothing.
Called Ace again and finally talked to Grace, she issue an RMA and advised that the item will be refunded AFTER test result defective. Otherwise, will be charge 15 re-stocking fee.
Sent item back to Acekaraoke via UPS (cost $12.99) and now awaiting]
their judments.

i bought this product mainly for the purpose of playing video and music files thru my television without having to burn to CD or DVD. For this purpose the IVIEW 4000KR works great except:
-does not have the capacity to handle my plug and play external Hard Drive(this is my biggest gripe)
-menu screen displays limited character titles.
-slow remote control use.
Haven’t tried the Karaoke functions yet but the (2) 1/4″ mic jacks on the front of the unit lead to believe that i can now play my electric guitar thru this device(although i would not recommend this unless you have some kind of stereo system/speakers hooked up to you television.
bottom line______________________________
For 60bucks you can’t go wrong.

I thought I was getting a quality karaoke machine for home at a great price.
WRONG!
I got it home, hooked it up, and it all went down hill from there.
It did play all of my disks, although it loads fairly slow.
The mic volume is nearly non-existant and I found my self almost yelling into the mic to get my vocal out even though it was turned up full blast.
The worst thing was when the picture starting flipping as if the horizontal hold on your old T.V. went haywire (remember those days?!).
I basically used this thing for an hour-and-a-half and put it right back into the box.
I should’ve known straight-away considering the unit seems to be made fairly cheaply.
I guess you get what you pay for.
That said, Amazon did ship this thing to me super-fast and accepted its return without complaint.
They happily refunded my money.
I have now placed an order for the VocoPro DVX-668K.
I hope I have better luck with this one.
Do yourself a favor and avoid the iVIEW 4000KR!!!
