I can’t begin to say how disappointed I am with my Magellan purchase. But let me try. After 10 months the plug for the car charger broke. After 45 minutes on the phone with customer service I am now being asked to ship this in to the repair center in Texas. 10 Months and the unit breaks and now I will have to wait 2 weeks for the unit to be returned. I must say that a GPS is a great tool for a driver. But, if you are looking to buy a unit then you should consider looking at TOM TOM or Garmin or any other company that may build a better unit.

The Magellan Maestro 4210 GPS does its job, this GPS has some problems with some addresses sometimes but don’t they all? for the price I payed I can say I am very sastified, it has taken me pretty much where I wanted to go.

I purchased this gps and at first it seemed great – but then discovered that the maps were not updated. Called Magellan and they graciously sent out the updated maps – free of charge (but only if you call in the first 30 days). I put the updated maps SD card in and it said that the unit could not process it. I had to update the unit itself but they didn’t include a USB cable. Called them again and they said this unit doesn’t come with a USB cable but they are sold at Walmart or Radio Shack. Why do I need to purchase a cable that should be included????

Would NOT recommend this unit – unless you want to make other purchases!
