I searched high and low for a transfer switch to tie my 7000Watt continuous rated generator into my house for emergency use. I highly recommend going to Reliance Controls web site and watching the videos. The videos are good and quite explanatory on the installation process, the only thing lacking was the demonstration on how to install the unit to a flush mounted load center. I feel that this is a quality purchase the only thing to considering is the clear plexiglass cover to protect the panel from wondering fingers turning off the breakers. If I were to do it over would I change anything? Probably not.

I would recommend it for hard wired emergency back up. Contractor thought I was being almost foolish by having it installed, till the ice storm hit. Now he has one.

I am very, very pleased with this product. If you can read, turn a screwdriver, and understand that what you can’t see CAN INDEED hurt you this switch will offer you an easy, excellent quality, highly functional and affordable mechanism for switching to and from generator power. I would highly recommend this switch.
