I bought two units from two different venders….I thought that they were different brands and models, but both were the same. After reading several reviews it seem to be the proper thing to do and return the one that was inferior.

The unit works well – the motion sensor is great – even turns on when I let the dog out. I had to do a small modification to the unit so that I could cover both cars on the drivers side. It looks like it was designed to be mounted a lot higher than the average garage.

Modification: I took out the four screws on the back to allow the “ball” mount to drop down. I then took a pair of wire snips and snipped out a small area to expand the swivel angle limits. Reassemble and mount. Works great…

I don’t think there’s anything that’s perfect out there for the job of parking your car. That said, I like this little tool.

    PROS

    -Cheap

-Easy to Install (comes with a plate that you screw into the ceiling and then you slide the device into place)

-Power cord is not too long but long enough to reach from the garage door openner plug

    CONS

-Hard to get the lasers to point exactly where you want them (they’re not as flexible as I’d like them to be but enough to do the job)

-You have to make sure you install it with the motion sensor facing the garage door so that it will see the car driving in

OVERALL CONS (not related to the device)

I kindof imagined that I would see the laser beam come across my car’s hood until it got to where I needed. I find that it comes on and I see it just as I get really close to the stopping point.

    OVERALL

It gets the job done in the most unobtrusive way possible, no balls hanging from my cieling, not metal poles, no mats on the floor, just this little device on the cieling. I think it’s the best and most unobtrusive choice for parking your car in the same place every time. It’s not perfect, but nothing is and for the money it’s perfect.

NOTE TO PARENTS – if you have children bear in mind that this product uses lasers that are harmful if directed at the eye. Shouldn’t be a problem if the cars are in the garage but if your cars are not in the garage and children are playing – I’d exercise caution with children to make sure they don’t look into the beams.

Parking a car in a tight 2 car garage is much simpler and you know exactly where you are. I have used mine for almost 6 months and it helps a lot.

The only draw backs I can see are the beam heads do not spresd far enough apart and on a particularly sunny day it doesn’t come on as quickly, you have to pull in and wave until the sensor picks up the movement then it comes on. Other than that it is a must have.

This was simple to install, works like a charm. My wife loves it and we don’t have to worry about the old tennis ball on the string any longer!!!!

Works pretty good. Would change two things: 1.More movement with aiming of the lasers so that I had more options for where I aim them. 2. Laser stays on longer, for the car its on long enough, but for my truck since I have to pull in so close it is barely on long enough for me to pull in, 5 more seconds would make a huge difference. Otherwise it has worked great, heck of a lot better than hangin tennis balls or something like that, would recommend it.
