I haven’t even booted my TT One yet because I am still recovering from the ordeal of opening the plastic bubble package. The heavy duty plastic bubble required metal cutters and large scissors (while praying that the TomTom did not go flying). This insane packaging might help impulse sales in a retail store but is infuriating and is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Did I say that it is infuriating?

I am a professional driver. I have compared many GPS systems. Tom Tom I rate the lowest! Comparing Tom Tom vs Garmin. Out of 4 different navagation systems I rate Tom Tom a Zero. This system is not as user friendly and is NOT as dependable. Garmin IS user friendly, easy to operate while driving (even though your not suppose to) and very accurate! You cannot beat Garmin in my opinion. I would buy Garmin before any other navagation system. GO GARMIN!

In contrary to my bad previous experiences with Dell, this was definitely a way better choice/decision!!

TomTom ONE XL 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator
this prduct has no earthly value, it failed to function in english.
i threw it into the trash can after 12 hours of frustation. when i called the maufacturer i tried to explain the problem. after a lengthy amount of time following the instructions from a factory trained ‘expert’ i was put on hold. after s few moments the call ended. i do not recomend this product to any sane person. also amazon will not be seeing anymore of my business.

This is a gift for my college-age son, who travels quite a bit between home & school. It’s still in the package – and won’t be opened until 12/25/07. It looks pretty cool, tho!
