this cover is too grippy. Some covers compliment the screen and others ruin it by creating to much friction between the pad of your finger and the screen. This is one of the latter.

Let me start off by saying this product is of amazing quality. After “installing” on my ipad i feel more confidant carrying my ipad around and do not worry about scratching the screen whatsoever. the build quality is very tough yet very light and thin so there is no adverse affect on my ipad. it comes packaged with everything you need screen protector, squeege, and some sort of liquid spray.
it was difficult installing the film onto the ipad, but after two tries i got the hang of it. i got a little bit of lint under a corner of the film but in all honesty i’d rather have that than a huge scratch.

You’ve just spent a decent chunk of change on your iPad, so you might as well protect it properly. This is the best way to do that. Here’s why:
iPad screen gets greasy and messy quickly
iPad screen can be slippery
iPad in a folding case makes it bulky and annoying
iPad without a screen protector makes it dangerous put in a bag with keys, other metallic objects
So there’s a definite need for a screen protector, period.
Why Zagg shield?
Best materials – I’ve tried the freebie or cheaper hard, firm plastic ones with other devices (my iPhone). Imitations don’t last and they don’t give you the tactile grip. These devices can fly out of your hands easily, you need better grip.
Translucence – It’s completely translucent, no effect on the screen sharpness unless you are in sunlight (where your iPad fails already).
Lifetime warranty – if something should happen to your iPad (needs repair and you lose your shield) Zagg will give you a new one, just remove yours and send it back.
Caution: You need to spend the time to do it right. Use the liquid, don’t be shy. I know you’ve taken your iPhone in the rain before, screen application will use far less liquid. But use it spray and use a lot. Use a flat surface with a towel to stabilize, and have a microfiber (eye glasses cleaning material) to dry edges.
Squeegee skills lesson – Start from the center and push outwards. If you used the right amount of liquid you can squeeze bubbles to the edge with ease.
After a night of drying (don’t use your iPad for 12 hours), the next morning your iPad will look awesome and impenetrable.
This is worth the money. Don’t get the full shield. Get the front shield and a silicone case. Super combo. Your iPad will look brand new after using it for a year.

I was prepared to spend some time and effort installing the screen protector based on others’ comments and the instructions on the website. Despite hesitation about soaking my new iPad with the liquid provided, I used generous sprays according to the videos — I think this is key to a successful application. I took my time pushing all the bubbles out to the side with the squeegie, and ended up with a perfectly applied protector on the first try. I like the new texture on the touch screen, and my only disappointment is that it’s not anti glare (not that that’s how the product was described). I’m very happy with this purchase. One star penalty for the extra effort to apply.

I never put on my invisible shield. During shipment the liquid leaked onto the instructions causing a little imprint on the shield. I tried wiping it off but was unsuccessful. I contacted the seller and was informed that I could return it at my expense. The fee for returning the invisible shield in addition to the original shipping expense would be more than the price of the shield itself so I did not return it. It was a waste of my money.
